We set two cookies, both for Google Analytics, to count visits and see which pages get read. No advertising cookies, no profiling, and nothing sold to anyone.

What we set
Google Analytics 4 (measurement id G-VM3ECH5Q2E) places the following:

Both are first-party. Neither identifies you by name, and we do not connect them to any other data. Google may set additional cookies on its own domains if you are signed into a Google account — that relationship is between you and Google.
What we do not set
- No advertising, remarketing, or conversion pixels
- No cross-site tracking or data brokerage
- No chat widget, session recording, or heatmapping
- No embedded video, maps, or social widgets
- No A/B testing or personalisation
- Fonts are served from this domain, not a font CDN

Consent, stated plainly
There is currently no consent banner on this site, which means the analytics cookies above are set when you arrive rather than after you agree. Under UK and EU ePrivacy rules, non-essential cookies should be asked about first. We are not going to dress that up: it is a gap, we know about it, and it is on our list.
In the meantime the opt-outs below work immediately and completely, and we have kept what we collect to the minimum that answers “is anyone reading this?”
How to refuse them
- Block them in your browser. Every major browser can block or clear cookies for a single site. Nothing on this site breaks without them — there is no login and no preference to remember.
- Google’s opt-out extension. The official Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on stops GA on every site, not just this one.
- Send Do Not Track or use a blocker. Common privacy extensions block gtag.js outright, and we do not attempt to work around them.
- Ask us. Email hello@appriddle.com and we will delete any analytics record associated with you that can still be identified.
Changes
The date at the top of this page is the honest record of when it was last accurate. If we add anything that stores data, this page changes before that ships — not after.
